This site showcases an ongoing collaboration by undergraduate students in the School of the Arts, Queen Mary University of London, to produce a digital scholarly edition of Laurence Sterne’s unfinished final novel, A Sentimental Journey through France and Italy (1767).
Manuscript Journeys publishes online digital editions of selected manuscript log books for East India Company voyages in the year 1700. It uses location evidence recorded in the logs themselves to geolocate the ships' positions on each day of their voyages, enabling and cross-referencing visualisation of the routes they took through the Indian Ocean World.
